Belgian Timothy fell in love with Veggli Fjellgrend this summer, and quickly decided to buy a cabin. Now the date for taking over is approaching. Here Timothy reflects on the cabin dream that is about to become a reality.

An Almost-Festive Moment: My Holiday Cabin in Veggli Is (Almost) Ready!
Anyone who has ever travelled through Norway knows how hard it is not to fall in love — with the silence, the landscapes, the mountains… For me, the connection was instant. Since 2016, I had been searching for a second home in this beautiful country, and this summer I finally found exactly what I had been looking for: Veggli Fjellgrend.
From the very first moment, I sensed this wasn’t a standard development, but a place built with vision, quality, and – above all – people who genuinely make a difference.
Why Lende and Veggli?
- Impeccable craftmanship:
you can feel the craftsmanship in every board, every joint, every detail. - A location that sells itself:
stunning hiking routes, peaceful nature, and a wide range of winter sports. - A rare level of personal attention:
Jonny and Vegard take their time, listen, ask the right questions, and always offer honest advice.
But above all: you’re not treated as a case file — you’re treated like a person. Throughout the entire construction process, Jonny and Vegard kept me continuously updated via WhatsApp and Microsoft Teams. No distance, no cold business communication — just warm, genuine involvement.
The Big Day Is Getting Closer
And then came that message I’d quietly been waiting for: My holiday cabin will be fully completed and delivered no later than Monday, December 15th, 2025.
Can it be done virtually?
Yes.
Will I do that?
Absolutely not!
I’m gladly using this as the perfect excuse to travel back to Norway. Just before the holiday season, I’ll be making a short trip to Veggli with a good friend. It feels like an early Christmas gift — one that smells wonderfully of fresh wood.
Counting Down with Confidence
Honestly? I’m not expecting any surprises. Jonny has kept me updated meticulously over the past few months. New photos appeared in my inbox and on WhatsApp — each one sparking enthusiasm, a hint of jealousy toward my future self, and a growing sense of joyful anticipation.
In just under a month, the moment will be finally there: the delivery, the key in my hand, the very first step inside. I can almost feel it already.
Finally…
I would like to wish all readers, customers, and future neighbours warm holiday greetings and a very happy New Year.
And who knows… perhaps we’ll bump into each other on a hiking trail in Veggli in 2026. Or better yet — perhaps we’ll become neighbours.
Warm regards
Timothy
