The neighbors

Hilde and John were some of the first to secure a cabin in Veggli Fjellgrend. They met Jonny Holm, project developer at Lende, at a cabin fair in Sandefjord in 2019. He showed them a model of the hamlet that the couple fell head over heels for.

"We run a family business and use the cabin every weekend, so it had to be like "coming home" after the working week. With a cabin in a hamlet, we are also safe and have neighbors around us. It's perfect for us."

Hilde and John wanted a place that was both social and in the mountains. They found it in Veggli Fjellgrend. And they also got a number of other facilities in the local area.

The nearest swimming spot is just 200 meters from the doorstep. During the winter season, they can strap on their skis by the wall of the cabin and glide straight out onto the prepared and floodlit slopes. The content-rich cabin from Lende also makes it extra pleasant to come back from a trip.

"Everyone who enters the cabin remarks on the quality and all the incredibly smart solutions. I just have to mention the hallway and the wardrobe with lots of space, washing machine and dryer."

Lende cabins are developed by experienced mountain people with many cabin days behind them. This means that they know what is required of a comfortable and functional cabin. This has been particularly evident since Hilde and John were handed the keys in 2022.

"Normally there are things you want to change, but we are 100% satisfied!"

Else Marianne and Jon wanted ski and mountain terrain, proximity to Hardangervidda and a shorter distance to their son in Bergen. They found all this and much more in Veggli Fjellgrend. The modern cabin from Lende also helped to make the choice easy.

When asked what the best thing about the cabin is, they highlight the high ceilings in the living room, how light and airy the cabin is and that the sauna is worth gold. Else Marianne and Jon also appreciate that they have plenty of space for guests.

"Two bathrooms and 4 bedrooms is great since we have friends and family who want to visit us"

Else Marianne and Jon use the cabin for hiking in summer, fall, winter and spring. They go skiing, fishing and hiking. They also often take advantage of the many great offers in the local area, such as Veggli Fjellstue, the alpine resort at Veggli Skisenter and the cozy café at Killingdalen Skistugu.
