The area
A mountain of opportunities
- all year round
Snow covered landscapes, signs of spring, summer sun or bursting autumn colors. In Veggli Fjellgrend, fantastic nature experiences are never far away.
The summer mountain
Endless hiking opportunities
During the summer months you'll find well-marked hiking and cycling trails in the local area, both in the high mountains and in the cosy forest. Multiple mountain lakes invite you to take a refreshing dip or try your luck at fishing. The nearest swimming spot is just 200 meters from the cabin area.
In the fall, you can fill your basket with mushrooms or your bucket with cloudberries, blueberries and lingonberries. From Veggli Fjellgrend, the hiking opportunities are virtually endless. The old Nordmann trails across Hardangervidda make it possible to walk from Vegglifjell all the way across to Western Norway.
The winter mountain
90 km of cross-country ski trails
In the winter, you strap on your skis by the cabin wall and glide out into a chalk-white mountain landscape with 90 kilometers of freshly prepared cross-country ski trails. The snow settles early on Vegglifjell, and the trails are prepared as quickly as possible. Dedicated early trails make the ski season extra long.
As part of the project, a ski stadium has been built in the immediate vicinity of Veggli Fjellgrend. Here, the whole family can play on illuminated cross-country ski trails well into the winter night. You choose your own technique and pace.
If you want a little extra speed, Vegglifjell Ski Center is less than 500 meters from the cabin wall. From here it's "ski home" with a downhill slope to the cabin door. Veggli Fjellgrend is within driving distance of several other ski centers in the area. Vegglifjell is also a popular area for snow kiting.
