Hilde and John

Hilde and John were some of the first to secure a cabin in Veggli Fjellgrend. They met Jonny Holm, project developer at Lende, at a cabin fair in Sandefjord in 2019. He showed them a model of the hamlet that the couple fell head over heels for.

"Normally there are things you want to change, but we are 100% satisfied!"

"We run a family business and use the cabin every weekend, so it had to be like "coming home" after the working week. With a cabin in a hamlet, we are also safe and have neighbors around us. It's perfect for us."

Hilde and John wanted a place that was both social and in the mountains. They found it in Veggli Fjellgrend. And they also got a number of other facilities in the local area.

“The location is brilliant, right in the heart of Vegglifjell. There is swimming, ski slopes, hiking trails and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.”

The nearest swimming pool is just 200 meters from the doorstep. In the winter season, they can strap on their skis at the cabin wall and slide straight out onto groomed and lighted trails. John also points out that Veggli Fjellgrend is plowed every time there is snowfall, so the cabin can be used at any time without fear of having to shovel your way to it.

The spacious cabin from Lende makes coming to the mountains extra enjoyable. The cabin model Lende Luftig 80 boasts 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (one with a sauna), which is perfect when the extended family is getting together – for example during the Christmas season.

"Everyone who enters the cabin remarks on the quality and all the incredibly smart solutions. I just have to mention the hallway and the wardrobe with lots of space, washing machine and dryer."

The Lende cabins were developed by experienced mountaineers with many cabin nights under their belt. This means they know what is required of a comfortable and functional cabin. This became even more evident after Hilde and John got the keys in their hands – including on the electricity bill.

“We haven't had electricity costs over 800 kroner a month since we took over the cabin in 2022.”

The low electricity consumption is due, among other things, to the fact that the cabins are delivered with triple-glazed windows and extra insulation in the foundation. Hilde and John conclude with the best compliment a cabin builder could wish for;

"Normally there are things you want to change, but we are 100% satisfied!"
